Keep Google Maps Timeline if you like reviewing your trips inside Google Maps. Timeline remains available on iPhone: Google documents on-device history with an optional encrypted backup.

- Preserve what you already have. Before changing or deleting anything, review Google's backup and export options. Its iPhone guide explains how to export Timeline as a JSON file. Keep that copy private; an export is not a promise that WHIB can import it.
- Start recording future days. Install WHIB and follow the first-day setup guide. Give it the required permissions before heading out.
- Check one ordinary day. Visit a few places, then compare WHIB's history with what you remember. Resolve any recording issues before relying on it for an important trip or workday.
- Make the paid decision from real value. If the recorded history is useful, review the subscription options in WHIB. Don't delete your previous location history just to test a new app.

Questions before you switch
Is WHIB a Google Maps Timeline alternative on iPhone?
WHIB is an alternative for automatically recording your own places and revisiting your days. It is a dedicated location diary, not a replacement for Google Maps navigation or every Timeline feature.
Will installing WHIB recover my missing Google Timeline?
No. Do not expect a new installation of WHIB to restore another app's missing history. Preserve your Google Timeline backup or export separately, and use WHIB to record future days.
Can location history fill in my timesheet?
It can help you recall where you went and check your notes. Being at a location does not prove time worked. WHIB does not produce approved timesheets, payroll records or invoices.
What should I check before subscribing?
Confirm WHIB records a real day accurately enough for your use, review the history you want to keep accessible, and check the subscription features, price and renewal terms shown in the app.
