Privacy Policy


This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) applies to the software application Where Have I Been (“Application”) created by Bleat Inc. (“we” or “us”). The Policy describes the information that we collect about the user (“you” or “your”) of the Application, how we handle such information, and the choices that you have regarding such collection and usage.

Please read this Policy carefully before you install the Application. By installing and using the Application, you are consenting to the terms and conditions as set forth in this Policy now and as amended by us. If you do not consent to these terms and conditions, you must stop using the Application and uninstall it from your device(s) immediately.

1. Information collected by us

We only collect aggregated statistics and usage information in the Application, which cannot be used to identify your device or identity.

  1. a)  Upon installation on a device, the Application automatically generates a unique identifier. This identifier is used to collect aggregated statistics and usage information, and does not contain any information which can be used to identify your device or identity. If the Application is deleted and re-installed on the same device, the old identifier is discarded and a new identifier is generated.
  2. b)  We collect aggregated statistics from the Application to allow us to measure service usage, improve the Application and algorithms within, and create new features. Specifically, we collect
    1. i)  information on the ways in which you use the Application, such as the number of times

      you launch it, the time you spend on different screens.

    2. ii)  aggregated statistics on your data in the Application, such as the number of places

      visited by you and the time spent by you in various activities (at one place, in a car etc.) as calculated by the Application. None of these statistics includes any location information.

    3. iii)  your location at the time the Application is installed, to gain an understanding of where our users are located globally.
    4. iv)  the type of mobile device you use, your mobile operating system, and any errors which cause the Application to crash.
  3. c)  Aggregated statistics and usage information are available only to us so we may use these to improve the Application, and are never shared with other users, partners or third parties.
  4. d)  The Application does not obtain or use any information from your address book, contact lists, friends lists, logins, photos, check-ins, social networking lists or any other applications on your device.

2. Information collected by the application but not accessible to us

  1. a)  The Application uses GPS, Wi-Fi, cell tower and motion technology to record the location and/or movement of your device at various times during the day. The number of times such information is recorded depends on your movements and the availability and responsiveness of services on your device. This data is only stored and used locally in your device, and backed up to your iCloud account if you choose to do so. We do not collect this data, and neither it is accessible to us.
  2. b)  Upon sufficient usage, the Application may mark with relevant labels certain geographic locations which are frequently visited by you, to allow you to recognize such locations easily. All data associated with such labeling is also only stored and used locally in the device running the Application, and backed up to your iCloud account if so requested by you. We do not collect this data, and neither is it accessible to us.

3. Children
THE USE OF THIS APPLICATION BY CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 13 IS PROHIBITED.

4. Information provided by you

We do not collect any data provided by you, and any data entered by you in the Application is not accessible to us.

  1. a)  The Application does not require or allow you to register with us.
  2. b)  The Application allows you to select and label any geographic locations or addresses of interest, to facilitate usage of the Application and recognize frequently visited locations easily. This data can be deleted by you at any time. All data so provided by you is only stored and used locally in the device running the Application, and backed up to your iCloud account if so requested by you.

5. Third parties
a) We do not disclose any information to third parties except otherwise as below.

i) The Application uses Google Maps API and Here Maps API to look up names of business establishments near your location. This occurs directly between your device and the map providers’ servers. You should consult Google’s Privacy Policy to

understand how your data is handled by Google, and Here’s Privacy Policy to

understand how your data is handled by Here.

  1. ii)  We use Flurry Analytics to collect and store the aggregated statistics and usage

    information described in Section 1. You should consult Flurry’s Privacy Policy to

    understand how the data is handled by Flurry.

  2. iii)  If the Application uses any third party services for its operation, then by using the

    Application you are subject to the terms and conditions of their respective Privacy Policies.

b) We shall disclose any data we collect where as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process, when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.

6. Merger & Acquisition

If Bleat Inc. is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, you will be notified via a prominent notice on our Web site of any change in ownership, any changes to our Privacy Policy, as well as any choices you may have regarding this information.

7. What are my opt-out rights?

We only collect aggregated statistics and usage information, which cannot be used to identify your device or identity. You can stop all collection of information by uninstalling the Application from your device. When the Application is uninstalled, all data saved on your device is immediately deleted. Any data backed up to your iCloud account can by deleted by you using iTunes as advised by Apple.

8. Security

We only collect aggregated statistics and usage information, which cannot be used to identify your device or identity. However, we remain committed to safeguarding the confidentiality of the information we collect. We provide physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information we process and maintain. Please be aware that, although we endeavor provide reasonable security for information we process and maintain, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches.

10. Changes

You are advised to consult this website regularly for any changes, as by continuing to use the Application after those changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Privacy Policy.
